so i went to batu caves and watched Thaipusam celebration for the first time in my life today! it was really an eye-opening and satisfying experience for me :)
Pictures tell it all!
the crowds were watching Hindu devotees bearing kavadis.

people were climbing up the stairs which consist of 272 steps, to reach the temple in the cave.

the 42.7m high golden statue of Lord Muruga.
closer shot of the statue.

balloons! haha just a random picture. i guess these balloons have nothing to do with Thaipusam.
